Jodi Monte is a recent resident of Riparius, having moved with her husband, Luke, from Toms River, NJ during Covid in 2020. She is a retired 6th grade Gifted and Talented Language Arts Pinnacle Program teacher from Toms River Intermediate South. While teaching, she served as the Advisor for the Interact Club, a subsidiary of the Rotary Club, for many years. 

Jodi has had a passion for volunteering since her teens, when she became the President of the March of Dimes Youth Committee for Camden County, NJ. Her prior volunteer commitments include the following: Big Sister for Big Brothers/Big Sisters in NJ and NY; Wish Granter for Make-A Wish NJ for more than 20 years; President of the East Dover PTA; Head Counselor for Camp Sunshine in Casco, ME; and EF Educational Tours Group Leader – taking students to Italy, France, New Zealand, Australia, and Fiji.

Currently, Jodi is a Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish VT & Northeast NY and Board Member for the Adirondack Community Outreach Center, where she is the Social Media Coordinator, Web Page Designer, School Backpack Program volunteer, and Food Pantry volunteer. She most recently joined Tannery Pond Center as a member of the Events Committee and is excited to bring her experience to the Tannery Pond Board of Trustees.

When not volunteering, Jodi enjoys kayaking, playing mahjong, gardening, reading, and spending time with her husband, children, and 7 grandchildren.
